At Obra, we're looking to keep our popular Figma community kit free, without any annoying “upsell” aspects. We don't want people to discover 5 days into creating their design system that they might have to start again with a new file.

We do believe our Pro additions (CSS Export, all 8 shadcn/ui styles in separate files, Pro blocks and upcoming AI skills) are worthwhile, but these upgrades can be made standalone (and in fact, can be upgraded from the Community edition).

Now, in order to keep Community free, we're looking for a key sponsor who will be featured on our website and in the kit. In this video, I explain why.

We released the free 2.0 Community version of our Obra shadcn UI kit a month ago, but there is a problem: it's actually a little bit too good. In about two and a half weeks, we will remove some of the free features because the free edition is hurting our Pro kit sales.

So, grab it while it's hot. The Community edition has 90% of the features of Pro, and it's especially great if you only need Nova. You can get something for free that is currently between $200-$1,000 USD, depending on licenses, when you grab it either from us or from some competitors.
